The main highlight of this park is large herds of elephants than any park, which mass in enormous numbers during the dry season June to December. General game is excellent although predators tend to be difficult to find sometimes. From January the park is beautiful and offers a more private experience with very low visitor numbers. Enjoy your game drive around Tarangire River and Silale swamp which is tinged green year round. The swamp boasts more than 550 Birds species. More passionate bird-lovers might keep an eye open for the screeching flocks of the dazzlingly colorful birds while in the game drive.
